Eaglesoft ‘s new problem that they have been recently seeing appears to be related to a recent .net update.

The fix 99% of the time is:

Navigate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Config

If machine.config is missing from here:

Find machine.config.default and make a copy of it named machine.config
Open Eaglesoft technical reference and update the server name/IP
Verify Eaglesoft connects and works after making these changes

If the Server is set to a Static IP address, enter the Static IP in Eaglesoft’s Technical Reference | Database Setup for connection communication on each Workstation that will connect to Eaglesoft.

  • Select the Window’s Start button | type technical reference | Open Technical Reference
  • Select Database Setup
  • In the TCPIP box, type Host=Server IP Address
(For example, if the server’s static IP address is 192.168.1.100, type Host=192.168.1.100)
  • In the Client WCF Host box, type in the Server IP Address
(For example, if the server’s static IP address is 192.168.1.100, type 192.168.1.100)

NOTE: In the example below, the IP address listed is only for the example.  The Static IP address of your Eaglesoft Server Computer will vary.
